An excellent antique Victorian sterling silver necklace chain that is chunky enough to support large lockets and pendants. The necklace is composed of short oval D-shaped links wrapped in tiny 'lovers knot' links where they join together. Stationed along the length of the chain are sets of long D-shaped trombone links that are interconnected. The necklace fastens with a long slim torpedo clasp that complements wonderfully and doesn't interrupt the design.
At a hugely popular length - 18"- she's tactile and sleek, add a locket or pendant to match her character or don't. She has interest however worn, a testament to Victorian craftsmanship and enduring beauty.
