A stunning antique Victorian 5-stone pink tourmaline and mine-cut diamond ring crafted in luxurious buttery yellow 18ct gold. The ring showcases 3 beautiful pink tourmalines (called rubellites) that have unique dichroic properties, they display different shades of pink depending on the viewing angle. The tourmalines are gently graduated in size and are accented by 2 sparkling old cut diamonds.
The ring is a boat shaped band with the beautiful gemstones held tightly in multiple claws above an undergallery that features circular cut-outs giving a scalloped effect. The shoulders are decorated in reeded double lines that lead to a D-shaped band at the back, a classic design of the Victorian era.

MEASUREMENTS: Front 5mm wide sloping to a 2.7mm band width at the back.
HALLMARKS: stamped '18ct' inside band and an obscured mark that looks like a Victoria head assay stamp.
DATE: Victorian , circa 1880
CONDITION: in overall very, very good antique condition showing just light wear. The gemstones are securely set with no noted surface wear, just the typical inclusions you'd expect to see in natural earth-mined stones. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift.
