A beautiful pair of antique Victorian Forget-Me-Not drop earrings crafted in bright buttery yellow 18ct gold. The four lobed quatrefoil tops feature applied flowers set with turquoise cabochons with the open halo pendant drops embossed and engraved and decorated in a further two flowers topped with cabochon turquoise. Three tapered thorn droppers dangle enticingly from the bottom adding to their immense decorative appeal and giving lovely movement when worn. The earrings are finished in large hook wires secured by a catch at the back.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December and was often paired with Forget-Me-Nots in the Victorian era due to their similar sky-blue colouring. Forget-Me-Not jewellery was given as a token of enduring love as well as symbolising remembrance.
