This gorgeous large antique sterling silver locket dates from the Victorian era and has the benefit of being beautifully engraved in different designs on the front and back so you can wear either side facing for a different look, two lockets in one!
It has a lovely pillowed puffy profile and opens from the side to reveal one silver picture ring, paper liner and plastic cover. If you wanted to put a 2nd photo in the other side of the locket just cut it slightly larger and tuck it under the rim to hold it in place.
The top of the locket has a large pillowed teardrop bale with a wide bore opening which will accommodate a wide variety of different weights and styles of chain, it is perfect to attach to a Victorian bookchain or you can wear it with a ribbon.

CONDITION: in very good antique condition with no exterior dents or dings and the floral engraving still beautifully crisp. There is wear, light tarnish and workshop marks to the interior and the heavy engraving shows through to the inside as you might expect in an old locket. It closes tightly with a very solid click, it is best to close these puffy antique lockets at the top so the rims catch all the way around and close flush.
