This exquisite all original Victorian Whitby jet necklace is decorated in beautiful micro-mosaic love birds and to add even more to the appeal it is a "day and night" piece! Made in solid sterling silver the necklace features a small round and a larger teardrop shaped pendant of Whitby jet that are expertly inlaid in tiny mosaic pieces of colourful glass forming the bird images. The round pendant at the top is connected to the silver chain with twin bales, the chain has flat cut links that add an lovely sparkle and it fastens with a classic bolt ring. The teardrop shaped pendant drop has a hook at the back so you can detach it. The top part of the necklace would have been worn alone for daytime and the pendant drop added for evening wear. Trés chic!
