The ring features a beautiful oval cut earth-mined tourmaline in a delicious raspberry pink framed by a halo of 12 lively white paste gemstones that sparkle like old diamonds. Good antique pastes like these are an absolute joy to behold and are very collectible!
The stones are set in sterling silver. White metal reflects light better than gold so before the widespread use of platinum (in the early 19th century) silver was the metal of choice in stone settings.
