A beautiful little antique sterling silver Victorian celestial brooch. The brooch is a round disc in two tiers, rather like a cake. It is engraved with leaf motifs and has a carved textured background with satin polished crescent moons and overlaid mirror polished silver stars. There is so much lovely detailing on this piece and all done by hand.
The brooch is in lovely antique condition in keeping with age. It is hollow so there are a few small indents on the back which look strange on the photos because the highly reflective surface is causing odd dark shadows. The brooch has a sturdy pin fastener with a t-hinge and c-clasp.
If you are looking for an unusual antique piece that will instantly lift your dark winter wardrobe out of the doldrums, this may be the ideal little trifle for you. A sweet silver accent accessory good for the gents and the ladies.
