A very sweet little button sized sterling silver Victorian brooch. Dating to the Aesthetic era the brooch is engraved on the front in a pretty Japanese floral pattern with a crane, reeds and grasses. The outer edge is scalloped and framed in silver nubby beads.
The reverse has a fairly deep glass fronted locket compartment which is removeable. It currently contains a black and white photo of a charming Victorian era baby which you can replace with your own photo or some other special keepsake.

CONDITION: In good condition with light surface wear as expected in an antique piece, the glass compartment has no cracks or chips and the pin back is in perfect working order, please see photos.
