An beautiful antique sterling silver bangle bracelet with exceptional engraving on the front in an exquisite belt and buckle design. A lost art, you just don't see this level of highly skilled craftsmanship these days!
Lovely quality the bracelet is crafted on the oval in fairly thick gauge silver and has rolled edges to the top and bottom for added strength. It has a hinge on one side and a hidden shovel clasp on the other with a ridged push button catch.
The charming belt & buckle motif is a recurring theme in Victorian jewelry and was thought to render safety, security and protection. These lovely sentimentally engraved silver bracelets were often given as a romantic bridal gift, a fabulously decorative antique gem, gorgeous piece!

CONDITION: in very good condition and beautifully polished, slight surface scratches and one or two minor dings as expected in an antique bracelet of this type, please see photos. The hinge is in good condition with minimal wear and the bracelet fastens tightly with a satisfying snap. Apologies for the dark reflections, the bracelet is highly reflective to it was very difficult to photograph.
