A beautiful antique Georgian solid 15ct gold seal ring set with a carved garnet intaglio seal of a Roman emperor in profile. We haven't identified the emperor and it is possible that the seal is Ancient Roman with the ring mount itself dating to around 1820.
The garnet is a deep dark red and it is mounted into a closed back neoclassical style setting. This is a small dainty ring and the gold has the beautiful warm hue that you only see in antique rose gold. Perfect for stacking with other antique rings it looks particularly elegant on the pinky or index finger.
MATERIALS: 15ct rose gold, tested
GEMSTONE: red garnet, Presidium tested, measuring 10.5x8.5mm
RING SIZE: 5.25 (US), K (UK), 49 5/8 (EU)
MEASUREMENTS: Face measures 12x10.5mm, band 2.5mm
WEIGHT: 1.7 grams
HALLMARKS: None, acid tested

CONDITION: Very, very good antique condition with expected signs of considerable age and wear to the gold but no real flaws, please see photos. The ring has been well cared for and is very collectible!
