A gorgeous neo-renaissance ring, this Georgian jewel has the unmistakable patina of wear and great age. Brimming in old world antique detail she would be a one-of-a-kind addition to any jewellery lover‘s collection!
The ring has a flower shaped top made of gold with the centre set in a cabochon of natural rock crystal. Prized for their magnifying properties the clear crystal is backed in rose pink foil some of which is worn away so the gemstone displays different hues depending on the viewing angle - magenta, glowing pink and transparent crystal clear patches.
The other worldly crystal is framed in gold milgrain beads and bordered by black & white enamelled Greek motifs. In the reverse the ring has a closed back made from silver and is finished in an line-engraved silver band.
A difficult piece to pinpoint an exact date this unique Georgian ring harks back to the renaissance jewellery of the Tudor and Stuart periods.
