This charming antique 9ct gold miniature pencil pendant would have been worn by a Victorian lady on a chain as a piece of jewellery so it is delightfully decorative. Intricately engraved and embossed in feminine floral detailing the band that slides the pencil nozzle up and down is set in little bright blue turquoise cabochons.
The interior mechanism doesn't quite 'catch' anymore so although you can propel the nozzle forward by squeezing the band it won't retract back into the housing using the band. We have taken this into account when pricing and it still remains a beautiful wearable piece of art.
The pencil pendant has a crown shaped end cap mounted with a citrine seal. The cap unscrews to reveal a compartment inside to store spare pencil leads and it has a collar with a gold jump ring ready to attach to a gold chain. This piece can be purchased with a new 14ct gold-filled chain (18"/45cm) as shown or you can purchase it without if you prefer.
