A beautiful and all original antique sterling silver Albertina chain. The sister of the Albert chain and originally worn by Victorian ladies to keep pocket watches and other chatelaine accessories close to hand these beautifully decorative antique chains are perfect worn as distinctive and unique bracelets.
The Albertina features 3 sections of double rope chain with floral embossed silver bead charms in between. One end terminates in a large bolt ring that swivels and the other a smaller Albert clip, a lovely Etruscan style tassel charm completes the piece. The chain measures 13"(33cm) in between the clip ends and 14-1/2" (37cm) end to end with the tassel chain included so it will wrap around a slim wrist twice - you could add extra jump rings if you needed a little extra length.
These charming chains are a must have for the antique jewelry lover, they are a timeless classic and eminently wearable today. Perfect for layering with other antique bracelets. If worn as intended with a pocket watch the drape length at 13" is pretty perfect too!
