Perfect for a Scottish themed wedding this impressive antique silver pocket watch chain hails from Scotland. It can also be worn by the ladies as a statement bracelet, it will wrap twice around a wrist measuring up to 6-1/2 inches and a larger wrist size with the addition of a couple of jump rings.

Known as a fetter, or sometimes a snaffle of fancy link chain it's a welcome variation from the typical curb chains of the era. Featuring very thick gauge double trombone links decorated with lovers knots this heavy duty watch chain has the added benefit of a large decorative fob awarded for 1st prize Playing Marches at the Barrelton Highland Games, Scotland, 1901.

The pendant fob is engraved with thistles, roses and a crown and has a 9ct gold plaque in the center monogrammed with "AM" The chain terminates with a dog clip at one end and a large t-bar at the other and is fully hallmarked throughout. Fabulous quality, and highly unusual.

MEASUREMENTS: The chain 12-1/4 inches (31cm) end to end between the t-bar and clip and 7.5mm wide. The drop measures 3-3/4" (10cm) from the chain to the bottom of the fob. The fob measures 1-3/4 tall by 1-1/4" wide.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver throughout, 9ct gold plaque on the fob.

HALLMARKS: Lion passant, date letter 'Z' and makers mark "HP" throughout chain, on the jump rings and on the clip and bar. Fob, lion passant, anchor and date letter "a"

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition and all original. There is no damage to the links and the dog clip is in perfect working order and fastens securely. An unusual and sophisticated pocket watch chain as wearable today as it was over 100 years ago and heirloom worthy!
