A classic 1980s 1/4 carat diamond solitaire engagement ring in 14ct white gold. The ring features a knife-edged band with the diamond set in a high profile 4 claw setting.
The knife edge band is perfect for solitaire rings because it creates an optical illusion of a thin band, our eyes are drawn to the edges of the band and we tend to measure the width of the band at its thinnest point so the diamond will look bigger. Creating even more impact in this ring the diamond is held in 4 very tall claws which are designed to 'float" the stone making it appear larger and the resulting high profile allows light to flood through adding to the brilliance of the stone.
Gorgeous ring, understated but plenty of presence and sparkle, looks fabulous stacked and can hold its own with thick, heavy or D-profile wedding bands.
