This incredible vintage 1970's pearl and sapphire bombe ring is crafted in 14ct buttery yellow gold, it hails from Hong Kong and comes in the retailers original vintage ring box.
The luxurious ring has enormous presence, it is carpeted in a mountain of perfectly matched, perfectly round creamy white pearls with a fabulous iridescence. The pearls are accented with sparkling deep blue sapphires that are claw set in tall gold cups adding to the elegance. The ring has a high dome profile with superb detailing to the under gallery which is decorated in gold scrollwork in an open basket design. A gold ball accents each shoulder and a thick D-shaped band completes this fabulous ring that is iconic of the era.
The large clam shell shaped ring box is printed with "International Pearl Centre" inside the lid. This is a jewellery store that was located in the prestigious Peking Road shopping district of Hong Kong along with other luxury retailers like Tiffany and Cartier.
Celebrity worthy the ring evokes an era of jet set travel, cocktail parties and glamorous statement jewellery, it provides incredible finger coverage and looks exquisite from any angle!
