A large and impressive Art Nouveau revival 18ct rolled gold ring with a Wedgwood Jasperware cameo depicting Tyche the goddess of fortune or Laetitia goddess of joy leaning on her anchor which represents hope.

This is one of the loveliest and best quality Wedgwood rings we have ever had the pleasure in offering. The ancient Greek theme of the blue and white cameo is echoed in the neoclassical design of the gold setting. A cut out zig-zag under gallery lifts the cameo high on the finger flanked by squared off shoulders. The cameo is a nice large size with the ring reaching the knuckle when worn.

The ring is solidly constructed in hard plated (rolled) 18ct gold over sterling silver and the cameo is impressed on the back with a Wedgwood 1967 date code. It is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of any real wear. The gold overlay is completely intact so this ring looks and feels just like a solid gold one. Surprisingly there are no visible hallmarks on the metal and when we acid tested it, it tests as gold, likely because of the thickness of the plating.
