A lovely quality sterling silver Edwardian style locket hallmarked for London in 1988.
The locket is rendered in an elegant slender oval shape with a gently pillowed profile and lovely floral engraving on both sides. It has a fairly large sized engraved fan shaped bale which adds to the decorative appeal. There are 2 removable picture frames with rims inside rather than the typical flat photo holders which is a nice design feature and gives you more room behind for other keepsakes like locks of hair.
The locket can be purchased with or without the new sterling silver 18" (46cm) necklace chain. The chain is a classic Belcher style chain with elegant round links in a sturdy gauge. Our chains are made in Italy and are super quality.

HALLMARKS: inside stamped '925', stamped on the outside with the zodiac sign for Leo (import symbol for London), date letter 'O' for 1988 and 'VM' makers mark

CONDITION: The locket is in very, very good condition with minor signs of use as you might expect in a vintage piece. The sturdy hinge is unworn with no slippage and the locket closes securely with a very satisfying click.
