A sumptuous glowing Baltic amber cabochon graces this 1930s European silver ring. The amber is natural, presenting murky green fluorescence under UV light and when viewed with a loupe we see scattered hair like inclusions that look like a spider's web, fabulous specimen!
The amber is egg shaped with a lovely high domed profile. Hallmarked for the Baltic region the amber is set into a graceful Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts style sterling silver mount that lends itself beautifully to the organic nature the amber. A simple flat band completes this lovely ring. Amber is worn for good luck and is thought to protect from evil.
