Locally made in Egypt this superb quality vintage coral and silver filigree pendant necklace dates from the 1960s to 70s. Massive in size and scale it shows beautifully refined workmanship and is stamped in Egyptian silver hallmarks.
The chandelier style pendant is worked in lace-like silver filigree and set with genuine coral cabochons in a stunning tomato red colour. Composed in graduated crescent moon shaped tiered sections that have wonderful movement the pendant suspends from a handmade thick sterling silver rolo chain that is the perfect length to position the top of the pendant at the base of the throat when worn.
In Egyptian culture, the crescent moon symbolizes the lunar cycle, fertility, motherhood, rebirth, and new beginnings, a superb vintage statement necklace with stunning detailing!
