A wonderfully retro very wide vintage English sterling silver buckle ring with good clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1971. The ring comes in an old blue metal ring box that is almost as fab as the ring!
The statement sized band ring has a flat profile and is carved in a scroll pattern on the front. The ring is in good condition with the band still nice and thick, some of the scroll pattern has worn smooth at one side and the silver is as sleek as silk giving the ring that comfy 'lived in look' that we love.
At 50+ years old this is fab statement ring and tactile, the classic buckle ring represents loyalty and eternity and as an amulet they bestow protection to the wearer.
MATERIALS: sterling silver
HALLMARKS: 'lion passant' for sterling, 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter "W" for 1971 and makers mark 'CPS' for the CPS Jewellery Company that were located in Birmingham's historic jewellery quarter.
