This spectacular vintage cocktail ring is set with a large oval “sunset peach” tourmaline of impressive scale. The beautifully faceted gemstone measures approximately 15 x 12 mm and displays rich peach and apricot tones reminiscent of a glowing sunset.
The stone shows strong pleochroism, a natural characteristic of tourmaline, revealing shifting shades of peach to warm clear champagne as the ring moves in the light. This lively play of colour gives the gemstone wonderful depth and presence.
A quality ring, solidly constructed with a substantial band, the tourmaline is held securely in four claws and framed within an ornate openwork floral halo set with sparkling marcasite stones.
