Victorian Sterling Silver Templar Cross Compass Fob Pendant

A striking antique Victorian sterling silver compass watch fob pendant, crafted in the form of a Templar cross (also known as a Cross Pattée). Beautifully hand engraved with scrolling floral decoration on both sides, the centre features a vacant scroll-shaped cartouche ready to be engraved with a personal monogram if desired.

At the heart of the cross is a fully working compass with its original enamelled directional markers beneath a clear crystal. The needle remains responsive and quickly finds north, preserving the practical function that made these gentleman's watch fobs such fascinating everyday accessories during the Victorian era.

Fitted with a generous jump ring, the pendant can be worn as originally intended on an Albert watch chain or adapted perfectly for a modern necklace.

Combining fine Victorian silverwork with genuine functionality, this is an increasingly uncommon piece that appeals equally to collectors of antique jewellery, watch fobs and historical curiosities.
