A beautiful vintage sterling silver heart locket necklace by the respected English jewellery maker Henry Griffiths & Sons, fully hallmarked at Birmingham for 1975.
Although dating to the 1970s, this lovely piece is crafted in a timeless Victorian-inspired style, reflecting the enduring popularity of the classic engraved heart lockets that have been treasured for generations. The front is elegantly decorated with a traditional acanthus leaf flourish, creating a romantic and enduring design that feels every bit as charming today as it did when first made.
Generously sized yet comfortable for everyday wear the locket opens from the side revealing two photo compartments complete with fixed picture rings and the original black liners. Both compartments remain unused, ready to hold treasured photographs of loved ones, cherished memories, or meaningful keepsakes.
The locket is suspended from a new sterling silver fine curb chain and finished with an attractive reeded fan-shaped bale that complements the traditional styling beautifully.

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with light signs of age-appropriate wear. The locket opens and closes securely with a satisfying click. Any dark areas visible in photographs are reflections rather than flaws.
