A beautiful classic antique 5 stone ring, made of buttery yellow 18ct hallmarked gold in a larger finger size. This ring holds 2 raspberry pink tourmalines, a hot pink ruby and 2 sparkling genuine earth mined old rose cut diamonds. The vivid pink ruby is not a replacement stone, this ring is all original it was made this way. Not as unusual as you may think, Victorian jewellers had to use gemstones they had to hand at the time of making. This does result in a unique ring, you will recognise her anywhere!
The ring is a boat shaped band with the beautiful gemstones held tightly in multiple claws above an undergallery that features circular cut-outs giving a scalloped effect. The shoulders are decorated in reeded double lines that lead to a D-shaped band at the back, a classic design of the Victorian era.

GEMSTONES: Presidium tested and verified: centre pink tourmaline 3.5mm (.16ct), side pink tourmaline and ruby 2.25mm (.05ct), 2 old rose-cut diamonds 1.5mm (.015ct)
RING SIZE: UK Q, US 8.25 (a larger finger size)
WEIGHT: 2.7 grams
MEASUREMENTS: Front 5mm wide sloping to a 2.7mm band width at the back.
HALLMARKS: stamped '18ct' inside band and an obscured mark that looks like a Victoria head assay stamp.
DATE: Victorian , circa 1880
CONDITION: in overall very, very good antique condition showing just light wear. The gemstones are securely set with no noted surface wear, just the typical inclusions you'd expect to see in natural earth-mined stones. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift.
