Crafted in the 18th or early 19th century this incredibly sweet and dainty citrine paste (glass) Georgian intaglio seal is a love token and engraved "Forget Thee? No!" Perhaps it was given by a lover who was embarking on a long journey!
Originally used to privately seal loving letters the glass intaglio is a lovely pale yellow colour and carved into a tall elegant neoclassical column shape with a flared base. It has a dainty 9ct gold cone shaped mount at the top along with an oval loop, it also has a 9ct gold jump ring to attach it to a chain so you can wear it as a pendant.
Steeped in romantic sentiment this feminine piece is in very good antique condition with expected signs of a 200+ year age like overall surface wear to the glass like tiny scratches and minor chipping to the facet edges but nothing really untoward. The intaglio still turns out a well defined impression, she is as functional as she is beautiful!
