This beautiful solid 15ct gold and citrine seal antique propelling pencil pendant is a fine collector's piece, and an all round exquisite example of Victorian craftsmanship.
A quality piece with every inch intricately engraved and embossed in feminine floral detailing this generously sized pencil might have graced a Victorian lady's chatelaine or her writing desk. Fully functioning (there is pencil lead inside), she is as pretty as she is practical!
The top of the pendant is set with a beautiful sheild shaped lemon citrine natural gemstone. A slider pushes up and down to reveal a gold nozzle which unscrews to house 0.90mm pencil lead. This lovely piece also has a collar with a gold jump ring so she is ready to attach to a gold chain and wear her as a pendant!

GEMSTONES: lemon citrine 9x8mm, the citrine has been tested and verified using a Presidium Gem Tester
MEASUREMENTS: 4.20mm diameter, 3-1/4" (8.3cm) long, fully retracted it measures 4-1/8" (10.5cm) long, the jump ring is 6mm diameter
HALLMARKS: none for metal content, we have acid tested and confirmed solid 15ct gold. The nozzle is stamped with an 'M'
WEIGHT: 6.4 grams
DATE: Victorian, circa 1860
CONDITION: in very, very good condition with minor signs of use, there is a tiny dent in the gold near the seal at the top. The engraved detailing still crisp and fresh. The slider mechanism works perfectly, the gold nozzle screws off to insert the pencil lead and screws back in securely (the little tube inside which you don't see is steel).
