This gorgeous red Niello enamel heart pendant is an historic reproduction and part of a 1980's range of art themed jewellery created for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The design was copied from a scrapbook of Niello designs in the museum's collection.
Steeped in old Islamic world charm the pendant is made out of bright yellow gold plated brass and we have added a new luxurious 18ct yellow gold filled chain so this lovely piece is ready to wear or give as a gift. The pendant is stamed 'MMA ©1985' on the reverse and the chain is stamped '18K GF'
The pendant is in very, very good vintage condition with light surface wear and no enamel loss
