Infused in raw beauty this beautiful genuine Baltic amber vintage stretch bracelet is a sumptuous rich butterscotch colour. The bracelet features large rectangular hand-carved panels of opaque amber and small translucent amber spacer beads that are faceted to add a lovely sparkle
The bracelet is in very good condition with no real damage. The amber panels are beautifully shaped and polished and strung on cotton covered elastic cord that is still nice and strong with plenty of stretch. Under magnification the bracelet shows light wear, there are a few tiny chips around the edges of some of the panels but nothing detrimental. The amber has a strong murky fluorescence under UV light and there are natural inclusions and mottled shading consistent with amber that has formed in nature.
The bracelet weighs 17.2 grams, considering that 1 gram of amber is equivalent to 5 carats we estimate this fabulous piece to weigh in at over 85 carats of beautiful amber. Used for centuries, amber contains succinic acid, a natural analgesic and healing agent, and when warms against your body it provide's pain relief.
