A superb antique 1920's sterling silver Egyptian Revival snake bracelet made by Kordes & Lichtenfels, Germany. Kordes & Lichtenfels were makers of high quality gold, silver and rolled gold jewellery from the late 19th century.
Hailing from the Art Deco era this bracelet is crafted in heavy gauge silver in sections. It features exceptional detailing known as taille d’épargne whereby engraved lines forming the design are incised into the silver and are filled with opaque black enamel. Tiny applied silver beads called granulation add to the beautiful decoration.
