Few pieces capture the romance of the Edwardian era quite like a beautifully enamelled picture locket. Dating to around 1910, this exquisite example is crafted in rich 15ct rose gold and decorated with luminous sky-blue guilloché enamel, its engine-turned waves shimmering beneath translucent enamel as they catch the light.
The front is adorned with an elegant gold ribbon bow entwined with ivy leaves and accented with natural seed pearls. Rich in Edwardian symbolism, the bow represents two lives united in love, while steadfast ivy signifies fidelity and everlasting devotion, making this a deeply meaningful love token.
The reverse conceals a glazed picture compartment, still retaining its original cream silk lining. The frame can be gently eased open to insert a treasured photograph, lock of hair or handwritten memento, allowing this beautiful pendant to once again become a deeply personal keepsake.
Available with or without the antique 9ct rose gold trace chain shown in the photographs. The chain measures 38.3cm (15⅛ inches) in length and fastens with its original torpedo clasp stamped "9C". Simply select your preferred option from the drop-down menu. A generous 5mm gold jump ring also allows the pendant to be worn comfortably on most modern gold chains should you prefer.
Elegant, sentimental and beautifully preserved, this timeless Edwardian locket was created to safeguard life's most precious memories and is ready to be cherished for another century.
