What a fantastic find, this gent's antique Victorian sterling silver buckle ring bears crisp clear hallmarks for 1893 and looks to have been rarely, if ever worn. We are offering it along with the little blue ring box that the ring was discovered in and we are pretty confident that this is its original box. The box is printed Pleasance and Harper, 4 Wine Street, Bristol on the top.
The ring is crafted in a large finger size with a flat square profile. It is heavy gauge, chunky and wide so provides wonderful finger coverage and with the detailing so beautifully crisp it promises years and years of enjoyment to come.
A fantastic piece of antique jewellery in remarkable condition and a classic token of love. To the sentimental Victorians buckle rings represented loyalty and eternity and as an amulet they bestowed protection upon the wearer, it isn't surprising then that they were given as a loving gift to someone special!

CONDITION: in excellent condition! Note that any dark spots are reflections. The ring box is cardboard and in very aged condition, it has probably lain in a jewellery box or drawer protecting the ring inside since their original purchase!
