A handsome vintage 9ct gold signet ring, fully hallmarked for 1986, with an unusually elegant and personal design.
The oval face is beautifully smooth with a high polish, embellished with a distinctive eight-point bright-cut star setting accented with a natural diamond. The diamond gives a lovely, subtle sparkle against the warm surface of the gold, while the engraved star, a traditional emblem of guidance, lends the ring a lovely sense of symbolism and adds to its old-world character.
The face is further decorated with the ornately engraved initials “MH”, presumably those of the original owner. The combination of the bold signet form, fine engraving and tiny diamond gives the ring a wonderful sense of individuality without making it overly ornate.
