A beautifully crafted vintage Egyptian sterling silver bangle dating to the 1970s, crafted in heavy gauge silver with striking open-work hieroglyphic decoration.
The pierced design features stylised Egyptian characters reminiscent of ancient hieroglyphs — motifs long associated with protection, strength and spiritual symbolism. Whether worn as a meaningful talisman or purely for its bold graphic appeal, the design carries an undeniable presence rooted in Egypt’s rich artistic heritage.
Beautifully made, the bracelet measures 8¼" (21cm) in circumference and retains a gentle flexibility, allowing for careful adjustment to achieve a comfortable fit. At 5/8" (1.5cm) wide and weighing a solid 28.4 grams, it has a reassuring weight.
The bangle is stamped with Egyptian Arabic character hallmarks to both the interior and exterior and acid tests as .925 sterling silver. These regional marks add authenticity and further interest for collectors of Middle Eastern silver.
The bangle remains in very good vintage condition, displaying only light surface wear consistent with age and no noted flaws. Note any dark spots are reflections.
