A handsome and impressive Art Deco era 9ct gold and diamond gypsy ring made by renowned British jeweller Henry Griffith & Sons and hallmarked in 1929.
A wide band style and crafted in heavy gauge gold the ring has a beautiful rosy gold hue and the face features an old mine cut diamond in an ornate star setting with engraved line decoration around the shoulders. Beautifully detailed this is a quality piece.
A fabulous and elegant period ring in a large finger size ring, substantial enough for daily wear, it is a real antique statement piece that will invite plenty of compliments!

GEMSTONE: round diamond (old mine-cut so a slight cushion shape), approx 3.4mm diameter (0.15ct). Presidium tested and verified.

MEASUREMENTS: 9.75mm wide at the front graduating to a 5mm band at the back
HALLMARKS: stamped inside band '9-375' for 9ct gold, 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter 'E' for 1929 and makers mark 'H.G & S' for Henry Griffiths. Also stamped ' Rd. 737298', this is a British design registration number filed in 1928.

CONDITION: in very, very good antique condition with just the light wear and minor surface scratches you'd expect to see in a gold ring that is touching 100 years of age
