Dating to around 1930 and European in origin this elegant statement sized Art Deco cannetille brooch is expertly handcrafted in 800 silver and ornamented in natural coral gemstones. The fine silver cannetille work is arranged into a unique apple heart design and decorated with 3-dimensional flower motifs. The tomato red coral cabochons provide a dramatic contrast framed against cool steely grey hue of the silver wire-work.
In tip-top condition with no breaks in the cannetille work the brooch fastens securely with a large safety pin style clasp. There is room behind the head of the pin to thread a chain though and wear this piece as a pendant too.
