We love charm bracelets that follow a theme, and this charming vintage German bracelet does just that, centred on the picturesque university town of Tübingen. Dating to around 1960, it is a wonderful example of mid-century souvenir jewellery, combining colourful enamelled city and municipal emblems with a nostalgic sense of travel and adventure.
The bracelet is crafted in sterling silver with nine shield-shaped crowned panel charms, each edged with a warm rose-gold tone. The central three panels are devoted to Tübingen, with two colourful pictorial scenes flanking the city's crest. The remaining panels display the coats of arms of Berlin, Berchtesgaden, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Oberammergau and Radolfzell. The brightly coloured enamel is particularly appealing, with the lettering and heraldic details remaining wonderfully clear.
